Hello!
My name is Caitlin Rose, I am the Public Relations Specialist for the Grosse Pointe News. One of my most recent projects for the paper was the launch of a monthly series called “Talking Pointes,” in our March 17th issue. The “Talking Pointes” articles contain results from a focus group of Grosse Pointe Millennials, during which 5 participants discuss a variety of topics relating to the Grosse Pointe Community. The Focus Group I will be moderating for the second “Talking Pointes” article will take place this Thursday, April 14th, 2016, 5:30-6:30pm at the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce. I am looking for a final member to attend this session, and thought you might be able to help!
The recruitment process for this Focus Group has been more of a challenge, as I plan to discuss racism amongst the Grosse Pointe community during the session. Thus, it has remained a priority for me to collect a diverse group of Millennials for this particular session, with the aim to offer strong perspectives to our readers when the article is released. After learning that one of my planned participants can no longer attend, I am seeking your help in finding a new individual to be part of the group. I am looking for individuals of color in particular, and am wondering if you have any advice as to where I may offer outreach? If you know of anyone amongst the Tower staff or the Grosse Pointe South student body overall, that would be a great candidate for this Focus Group session, please send me their contact information!
My phone number is (313) 418-0313. Any feedback you can give me would be greatly appreciated! Best Wishes!
Caitlin Rose
